You can further attach the hose to the vent that mounts on the outside of the soffit. This vent should also be included in your kit.

This should face down as you have to eliminate chances of rain, snow or other debris getting into the exhaust pipe, and thus the moist air from your room will be safely pumped outside.

Vents can be covers with vent covers that enhance the looks. There are different types of vents that are available in the market. The selection of one depends on the fan type and also the quality.
